Power of Prayer
One pillar of wellness is to have healthy relationships: great friends with whom you can share a trusting relationship. Friends are the people with whom you want to share your heart, your deepest hurts, your dreams, and from whom you can receive encouragement, even a hard word you need to hear now and then.
Spirituality is one part of the whole of every human being. People around the world practice various types of spiritual beliefs and expression. Personally, I have met, and enjoy a relationship with Jesus. He is a great friend, in fact the best of friends. As a result of how great of a friend He has been to me, I am inspired to be a great friend to others. Just like I have great friends that I talk to often, I also converse with God, the Father. My faith teaches that when Jesus took my punishment on the cross, died and rose again, and ascended back to the Father in heaven, He was able to send the Holy Spirit to always be with me, to never leave me, and to give me full access to God.
Numerous holy books speak of the value of prayer. Here are some of my favorites from the Bible. According to the Bible, when we pray, God can hear us, and we can hear Him. I never cease to be amazed by this precious gift.

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
(John 10:27; 5)

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we
ask anything according to his will, he hears us."
(1 John 5:14)

"Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven."
(Matthew 18:19)

"Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord"
(James 5:13-14)

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer"
(Romans 12:12)

"The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth"
(Psalm 145:18)
I can hear and understand a conversation between myself and God through the Spirit of Christ, who is the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the greatest Coach I have ever known. He gives me continuous insight into what I am called to do with my life, which is everything that I do at The WAYStation. He is what makes anything I do successful. Sure, I've worked hard and studied hard to get to the place that I can do what I do today, but I would have never dreamed I could be here or do this without Him. If I didn't have faith, and practiced prayer, I would never have heard Him as, through the years, He led me down all the paths that got me here. He was the reason I never gave up! And it was all because of Jesus' sacrificial death, and resurrection, that I could be filled with the Holy Spirit and have conversation with God in the first place.

In the Bible, in John 15:14-17, Jesus said, "You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will remain—so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. This is my command to you: love one another."

It is my greatest privilege to run a business where I get to pray with and for people, and to anoint them with oil. And it would be my greatest privilege to pray with, and minister to you when you decide to visit The WAYStation. Powerful things can happen when we pray together!

If you would like to take a deeper dive into a relationship with God, I invite you to consider taking the KC Journey using the link below. The KC (Kingdom Coach) Journey is an interactive tool offered in my Kingdom Coach book series. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to go through if, and when, you have time. It is colorful and engaging, and this journey can help you start a relationship with God, deepen a relationship with God, or remove things that can hinder your relationship with God. Go through it as many times as you like! People tell me all the time that they continue to get more and more out of it every time they go back through it again. So, when you have the time, take the time to enjoy the KC Journey!
